The legacies we leave begin with life now…
We don’t often take enough time to talk about endings.
And when we do, we discover that these conversations aren’t only about death: they’re about love, values, purpose, and our lives today. Join us for conversation and a new educational series about living with intention, preparing for our future, and creating lasting legacies.
Together, we will explore practical steps like health care directives, estate and funeral planning, and key wishes, alongside deeper conversations about faith, memories, and stories.
By learning together and talking honestly, we can:
· ease the burden on those we love
· make choices that reflect our deepest values
· create space for our stories and faith to live on
Who is this for? Every adult, of every age! Truly. Too often, important and tender decisions are left unspoken until it is too late—leaving loved ones to guess at our wishes, or missing the chance to pass along wisdom and gifts that could guide generations to come.
Lasting Legacies is a space to reflect and prepare from a place of love, not fear. Our goal is to make space for sacred learning and (dare we say) fun!

What gifts and assets will you leave behind after you die? The truth is that if you don’t have a documented plan in place, the state will decide for you.
Let’s spend time together learning about estate planning and how to make a thoughtful plan for loved ones, charities, and perhaps even Christ Lutheran Church.
Invited by Christ Lutheran Church Legacy Leaders, this is a chance to be empowered to make choices that align with your values. Plan your legacy that lives in perpetuity!

And Our First Lasting Legacies Field Trip:
Tuesday, October 21st 9:30 a.m. / register by Sunday, October 19th
We will be heading to Inver Grove Heights to visit The Bardo, where Christin Ament (our wonderful health care directive facilitator) serves as Executive Director. She is looking forward to sharing a tour of this Omega Home, an alternative setting where individuals can spend their final days. Their model is part of a movement to improve the end-of-life experience for individuals and families in the U.S. by emphasizing the importance of a peaceful, nurturing environment that feels like home.
This is for those who participated in the health care directive workshop and for those who are interested in continuing end-of-life conversations! Invite a friend. The weight of these conversations and this important work is lightened when it's shared.
We will return to church after the tour and lunch in Woodbury.
Cost: Free! Just bring money for lunch.
Truly, it's a must see! Come and be inspired as we learn more together.
(And this is just the beginning…stay tuned for more opportunities.)
